Just recently I made my first ever visit to a Bass Pro Shop. It was quite an interesting experience! I found this particular sign very telling. I don't hunt and am not at all interested in starting, but it's apparently a very popular pastime here in Mississippi.

It's been a few years since I went to Bass, but they just recently built a newer store close to my home... It is quite an experience, and more than you ever would think...
I grew up with hunters. Some of my classmates took leave from school at the beginning of deer season. Deer chili was good eats. And Bass Pro still gives me the heebie-jeebies.
We have a Bass Pro Shop near here. It's so much fun just to look at all the exhibits! Yes, hunting is popular in the South.
