Cajun Princess

This is the first bloom on my new hibiscus tree, the Cajun Princess. When I visited my auntie in New Orleans last month, she had the most beautiful hibiscus plant. It was dark orange in the center and lighter around the edges. I believe it came from the same nursery as mine.

I have always loved hibiscus plants and I'm glad to now live in a climate where I can actually grow them!

I grew up in Missouri and we had a hibiscus in the front yard. It brings back memories!

We have these flowers up here in Ohio. They come up from see each year and grow on one stalk about the size of a sunflower and will have many blossoms on them. They keep coming up from seed but the colors change each year. I had the prettiest peach colored one last summer.

This is a very nice photograph. You got lots of details.
