The Happy Home

We finally did find a house to visit - The Anchuca Mansion which means happy home in Choctaw. I'll show you the inside of the Anchuca tomorrow. It is just gorgeous and has a lot of historical appeal!

Glad y'all did a tour around my hometown of Vicksburg and got these nice photos. Both Anchuca and Cedar Grove are fabulous places to have dinner, but be sure to call to make reservations. The Spring Pilgrimage in Vicksburg is particularly nice as many private mansions are open then and the gardens are dazzling! Always a treat for me to visit your lovely blog...thanks for sharing your photography and interesting posts.

I love the name of the house! Both this and yesterday's Cedar Grove look fantastic. I'm glad you got to go inside Anchuca! I'm looking forward to the next post, but I might be a little late — two extremely busy nights for me. I don't even know if I can post anything later or tomorrow.

Don't forget to register for the January theme day! And the February 2009 theme poll is up! Please vote if you haven't already :)

OOO I can't wait to go inside!
This may call for a road trip.

Hey Halcyon, is it snowing yet?
We heard y'all may get 3 inches!

How do I pronounce this word? I'm all mixed up with English and German and this is even a native-American word so more troubles abound!

It's pronounced An-choo-ca. Hope that makes sense!
