Mississippi Symphony Orchestra

Photos were not really allowed inside the hall, but I figured since this was after the performance, it was okay. We were in the lower balcony, the view was excellent and the acoustics in the hall are also very good.

The main reason we went was for the Mahler song, but all of the music was great! Click here to see the evening's full program.

It's a shame that classical music is not more popular with the masses.

That is a very nice concert hall! They are renovating one of the oldest concert venues on the FSU campus right now and I can't wait to go in there when they are finished.

It appears to be a wonderful venue for an orchestra. Thanks for showing us the interior of the building.

I frequently use intermissions for snapping photos at classic concerts and I don't think anyone would mind. As long as we don't disturb the artists or other spectators.

I'd love to hear a symphony orchestra in person some day! Beautiful auditorium.

I'm glad you enjoyed the performance! Just looking at that ceiling, I can guess the auditorium had great acoustics.

Nice size hall. I have been to the Dallas symphony once, on casual Friday, we got to wear jeans.

Jim: The MSO actually invites you to wear jeans, a dress, anything you want! They just want people to come out and enjoy the music and not feel intimidated by getting fancied up. I think that's a great attitude and both my husband and I wore jeans to the event.

Great night, everything in the program was great. Strauss's Don Juan is one of my favorite pieces.
