Ladies Dressing Room

Although we were not performing on the main stage, we got to use the dressing rooms and the green room during my recent performance at New Stage. It's a wonderful place to work,  both on- and off-stage. I hope it won't be the last time!

Check back tomorrow for another look backstage.

I hope you're right. What's the "green room"?

Jacob: The green room is the place where actors wait between scenes, etc. It was also the place where the cash was doled out in the old days, hence the name "green room".

That is a great shot. I never knew that about the green room. I always thought it was just a waiting area before going on. Those lights look hot!

Thanx, Halcyon...now I've learned something new today!

I keep hearing about these green rooms but I guess I'll never see the inside of one. What's it like in there?

Nice shot, many lamps there! Any way to see a green room, I never suspected their existence...

I see that the green room has generated a lot of interest! The next time I'm there (or at another theater) I'll be sure to get a photo of the green room. It's basically a break room with a couple of couches and such. But it's always fun to get a sneak peek behind the scenes, isn't it?
