That's a beautiful interpretation of today's theme. Funny - I called a Menton post Over My Shoulder a day or so ago, so snap! Mine was a cat tho that might have eaten your lovely bird!
I'm always waiting for my rosebuds to bloom. They are one of my favourite flowers and don't do all the well in my garden so never enough of them in my mind. An interesting take on today's theme.
By the way, I haven't taken up golf again ... yet. But we are moving to Stone Creek on Dec. 22, and I have purchased a golf cart, so I plan to slowly try to get back into the swing of things, so to speak! This is a gorgeous 18-hole course which I think I will enjoy very much.
The comment about Duluth above holds true for St. Paul, also. It is a bit startling to me to see a photo of a bud about to bloom at this time of year. How warm is it there, anyway?!
Jacob: I'm sure it won't take you long to get back in the game. Besides, how can you live on a course and not play? ;)
Kate: I took this picture about two weekends ago. It's actually from the golf course b/c all my roses were in bloom at that time! We've been lucky so far it's been a warm winter. Although we're in for a cold spell this week. It's only mid-40s today. Brrr...

très bonne idée, bientôt ton jardin retrouvera ces couleurs (enfin presque bientôt)
One of these is not waiting too much... Nice choice for this Theme Day.

Oh I get so impatient waiting for buds to bloom, don't you?! Happy Theme Day!
Nice choice for today. My mind went blank.
It won't be a very long wait.
This is not a shot that would be taken in, for example, Duluth, MN this this time of year!
It looks like they are going to be pretty ones!
Nice and creative, Halcyon!

Buddies to be in springtime, I'd have said, but apparently they're already in the final countdown.
Elle va être belle !
It's amazing, in the UK as well because of the relatively mild weather, quite a few plants are budding - they are in for a rude shock, here, for sure.
What a sweet choice for the theme! I like it. I hope you don't have too wait too long before they bloom!
You are a real fan of birds! Thanks for your comment on the furniture arrangement, it would have been the last thing on my mind....
