Everglades Gator

Look closely and you'll see a real, live Florida gator getting some sun.

My blog is on auto pilot until I return from Hawaii. Until then - aloha!

Up close and personal. A sunbathing alligator is a first for me stuck in the snow in Ohio.

Nice shot! Unfortunately I have seen many of these critters and it is usually when I am not expecting to see them. One morning not too far from my house, a lady went outside to go to work and there was an alligator under her car!

Omigod! A gator! Right here in Florida! Heh, heh!

Having fun yet? What's your best round so far? You'll need to tell all, you know!

Those fellows look like they could withstand anything but he'd (?) probably not appreciate a visit in our snow droves.

The one thing I do not like of Florida are gators!

Olivier: I was on the airboat, we were really not that close. I used the zoom on my camera. :)

VP: The gators pretty much keep to themselves. There are very few actual incidents between people and gators. They might munch on a few dogs here and there though!

Alligators are a very important part of the Florida ecosystem. They make "gator holes" that provide water for themselves and other wildlife in times of drought.
