Electric Motorcycle

I spent last week in Orlando at a conference for transformers. It sounds pretty boring, but we got to have a little fun too! I took pictures of people on our "SmartChopper" and I got to meet Paul Senior in person, although he's not the wordiest of fellows.

The SmartChopper is a pretty cool bike. There are some downsides though. Since it's all-electric, it doesn't make any noise (which sort of defeats the purpose of a motorcycle) and it can only go around 60 miles per charge (don't take it out for any long rides). It was cool to see it in person.

I'm not much of a motorcycle person either, but I would love to take it for a spin.

But it would be a great "toy" to have, wouldn't it? a great conversation piece, I'd bet.

Very cool! I'm not sure about the lack of noise though.. It was a little disconcerting when I first saw a prius up close and its completely silent driving aroind a parking lot

You should have hopped on for your photo! Too shy?

J'avoue que l'aspect silencieux me séduit assez parce que je suis! régulièrement réveillée par des mecs qui ont besoin de montrer leur testostérone en pleine nuit...
Accessoirement, c'est une sacrément belle moto

It happens that I'm one of the very few that hate the noise of bikes. This would be perfect for me and within my range of mobility.
I suspect that this bike has a very steep price...

It does look rather cool. But I'd prefer a Harley!

A transformer conference does sound boring unless it's transformed into something else. ;-)

We were in Orlando today. Still very cold and windy! Ugh.

And re: the red guardhouse. Your comment was right on!

I like the fact that it's silent. You can always record some noise and play it as you go for a ride!

Shocking.

I always thought motorcycles were loud so that the cars would hear them coming. It's like an extra safety precaution. But no one will hear you on this bike!

Leif: I do have some pictures of myself on the bike. But I'm saving them for personal use. ;-)

Jacob: You know what they say about transformers... there's more than meets the eye!
