Shapley's

Shapley's is one of the top steakhouses in town. When it's not too hot, they'll put tables out on this terrace.

They probably won't be serving out there till Fall.

Eating outside is always great especially at a lovely spot like this one.

That bad, huh? Inside is perfectly fine then, especially if you're buying. ;)

All of the eateries in Jackson look so charming. By the way, don't give up on veggies or edibles. Pick something that grows well in your area. Try ONE thing. Maybe it is too late for this year but once you start eating what you planted yourself, you will get hooked. I don't know if blueberry bushes grow in your zone but they are pretty and it is so much fun to get blueberries.

Show us your flowers when they grow!

Looks like a nice place. I love the brick work. MB

It might be some time before those tables come out again!

. . . and I expect it has been too hot lately, but it looks like a delightful spot when it's nice out!

BTW, a commenter on my blog answered the comment about oyster beds. They are pilings from buildings and the commenter said which buildings were where.

Olivier dit une vieille école, moi je pense à de vieilles étables. Très joli mur de briques !

Hmmm...I may do a lot of "shopping," but I think someone in Jackson does a lot of eating! Hah!

Re your comment on Stone Creek: This 11th hole is nice, but our 9th hole is "lovely."

Hope your swinging well!

I gotta go rest now, 'cause I've got a 7:37 in the AM.

Jacob: I have never actually eaten at Shimmels as I am vegetarian - so a steakhouse is not my first choice of eateries! :)

I'm glad to hear you're hitting the greens though. I hope your game is good. Mine has been excellent lately. We're playing again after work today, barring rain.
