Sweet Blue Man

A cute little bluebird. This photo was taken in February when they stopped by in my birdbox. Sadly, they didn't stay - but at least I had some friends for awhile.

Maybe they are all the more compelling because they don't stay around.

Adorable! I can't seem to get them to stay either.

On dirait un robin bleu. Un robin européen, je veux dire !

J'oubliais et je ne sais le dire qu'en allemand juste maintenant : j'adore ce genre de petit oiseau quand ils sont tout "aufgeplustert"!

He looks a little pudgy ;) kind of like the bird from the beginning of The Partridge Family tv show!

At least you got to visit for awhile. We don't have the Eastern Bluebird out here. We do have a Western Bluebird but they stay up in the mountains mostly in the Pine woods and a Mountain bluebird mostly in Eastern Washington.
You do have some very nice pictures though. MB

I have only seen a bluebird at a distance. I keep watching for them but so far no luck!

The Bluebird is my favorite passerine. They have so much personality. I hope you have them stay with you next season.

I was lucky enough to have three pair nest with me this year. They produced 14 fledglings. I feel very blessed ;-)

They were probably on their way to Florida where they found it was too darn cold so continued south somewhere!
