September Theme Day: Markets

This is the Freshway Produce stand. I try to buy my fruits and veggies there when I can as I prefer to support local growers, but sometimes it just isn't isn't convenient to shop at two or more places.

As you can see, they offer a lot more than just produce! There are also flowers, jams and jellies, honey, cold drinks... it's a nice place to wander around a bit. And their cantaloupes cannot be beat.

To see more markets from around the world, check out CDP's September theme page. I've also posted a bonus market picture here.

Flower markets are the best; they brighten my day, especially when they first begin to appear in early spring. The fall flowers are always a bit sad because you know what's in store in the coming months.

Great! I still need some plants for my garden. Nice to know where I could buy them.

We don't see many fresh flowers in our open air markets, only vegetable and fruit, with rare exceptions.

I'm a sucker for flower markets. Something always comes home with me to plant in the garden. Colour ful shot and lots of healthy plants here.

That's right it is time for Hardy or Fall Mums. I like the markets that offer a bit of everything. MB

Love open air markets of whatever kind. But I forgot all about it being theme day. I didn't do very well on the golf course, either. I think I'll go take a nap.

I think you're right about the Reagan sticker. Does your brother live in Ocala? ;-)

this is definitely a sign that Autumn is around the corner when you start to see Mums at the market!
