A photographic look at life in Jackson, Mississippi and the surrounding area
Old Beetle
I spotted this old VW in a parking lot the other day. It's amazing how tough these things can be. I think this is a really old one and I always enjoy seeing them!
Love those old "fu-fus" ... We owned a much-loved red beetle with a sun roof. Wish we still had it. This photo is terrific!
LONG MESSAGE: I'm quite frustrated; cannot access my email account, comment on any blogs that don't allow anonymous visitors, nor access my Visual St. Paul blog. Lost all my addresses. Fortunately I had scheduled posts 'til mid-November sometime (but can't add to them with an explanation) because of surgery. Don't have time to start a new email account nor blog, but I'll be back. If you care to contact me in the meantime, I can be reached with another acct., tho: myhearthandhome@gmail.com

This past weekend saw a vintage, yet battered VW bus still motoring. It looked a bit more 'used' than this one though.
Pretty. You should have gone in for a closer look.
Yes, I'd guess this goes back to the 60s...love the fenders, too! If you embiggen it, you can see (I think) a "For Sale" sign in the window...
Hmmm...maybe you ought to make an offer?
Just CUUUUUTE!:)
Amazing how many of them you do see.
a classic and a covertable too!
It's VINTAGE sweet Halcyon, I would love to drive one someday!

Yes there are still a lot of them around. I saw a smoky ole van the other day. The Happy Van as they were called. LOL MB
I like seeing them too. This one looks like it is being well taken care of!
BTW: I am sure the fireboat is using salt water because they can pump it right out of the bay. MB
Bicolore, comme certaines deux-chevaux ici !

Kate from Visual St. Paul.
I love the old ones. I used to drive an old black one...but not a convertible. This one is wonderful!
I have never liked these too much, but the time itself says that the Beetles were and are great cars!
What a beautiful mean to measure time and life.
Please have a good Friday.
daily athens
Those guys are workhorses and will never wear out.
The cars are really cute :-D
PS: Yes, you should take a photo of the grass, too! You'll miss it ;-)
Great car, indeed! I like this one more than the new versions!
Halcyon: You and I are both loving that day of the dead couch (Julie/Scottsdale). Do you think we could get it home in this VW bug?? LOL!
I used to drive a beetle with a sunroof! lol I LOVED that car.
Nice shot! I do love those cars!
A friend of mine had one. And it was yellow too!
