It appears this lion is spitting with some force. Which is reasonable. I mean you wouldn't want a prissy little lion dribbling from the mouth, right? ;-)
We've had something similar here in Abita Springs for years. It allows people to get all the spring water they want for free. Kind of neat. BTW, sorry for my recent absence. I've been busy AND sick. :(

Better a spitting lion than a man eating lion! That's what I always say!
I'm asking the question, "Why did they name the USS Cairo "cairo," and the lion spits at me! I'm counting on Halcyon to share the answer!
hee hee...
«Louis» can think of several Congresscritters he would like to put in range of the spitting lion!
He doesn't look happy!
superbe cette fontaine.
Greensboro DP: I'll have to look into the USS Cairo. It was a Civil War era ship, I wasn't around then to advise them on the naming. :)
I don't know but a spitting lion just doesn't seem truly leonine!

I often wonder why so many fountains have spitting animals. :)

Who wouldn't love to have their own spitting Lion poolside. Oh ones needs a pool first I suppose. MB
Tant qu'il ne crache pas du feu !
He does look a little angry at something! Perhaps that is why he is spitting so hard.
Spitting fountains like this always make me laugh. Still, it's better than little cherubs peeing into a fountain. ;)
