Waiting

Traveling always involves some degree of waiting. It looks like these folks are waiting for someone to pick them up from the Amtrak station. I hope it doesn't take too long!

Waiting can be fun. I often spend time looking at people when I'm waiting.

I hope it's not like waiting for a pot of water to boil.

Hurry up and wait.
Isn't that the way it always goes. LOL MB

I don't mind waiting if there is something to look at. Not a magazine or newspaper but people doing their thing. I like the picture of the people waiting.

Sometimes I feel like I've spent half my life waiting!

The waiting is the part that kills me when I travel! Strange how exhausting it can be!

I love the detail of those posts and the people waiting next to them. Wonderful photo.

To answer your question, yes, there is a new owner now. They have cleared the roads a little and removed some of the garbage and debris. They've blocked off roof and tunnel access points (except those they don't know about) and lock the big warehouse where they keep the big equipment.

They've had architects out to see the buildings. The architecture of this place--how it was built is so rare, they are reluctant to tear it down. I'm glad to hear that. It is such a magical place.

They've said it will take a few years to decide what to do with the property. We are all hoping they keep the buildings and restore the property to its former beauty.

When I looked at this photo more closely, I noticed that the man on the bench seems not to appreciate the conversation the woman in the yellow shirt is having. Boy, is he giving her a look!

And I think the lady in green on the bench next to him enjoyed being in this photo.

I can't say that I like waiting, but if I must usually I try to enjoy it.
Watching people around it's often funny and interesting...

Most of us are very impatient to get from here to there. I know I hate to wait! Maybe I'd be much better off taking something with me to do while I wait. :)

By the way, How interesting that you will be moving north. Be prepared to buy boots, a scarf and a warm coat. :)
