How Does Your Garden Grow?

This is a sampling of the different veggies and flowers I've planted. I've also planted quite a few bulbs - fresias, sparaxis... So far, nothing has come up. But I'm hoping something will soon. We have visitors from Germany set to arrive next week and I'd like to have some colorful flowers to greet them with!

Oh dear! If nothing has come up yet, then you probably won't have anything blooming by next week. My husband has been growing things from seed, and it takes so much time. If you want bloom for your visitors, you may need to buy blooming plants ($$).

I tried one year to plant bulbs. I planted them upside down.

I am so stuck on perennials that I planted several packs of them this spring and also bought some at the nursery and planted those. Just two tomato plants though.

I like your photo and post today and also enjoyed your post yesterday. Neat.

You've planted a nice assortment. I bought a bunch of seeds but don't know where I layed them. I did start an herb garden though that is doing ok, just needs some weeding.
I'm lol'ing at Jim!
Hope your flowers pop up soon!

We just planted a bunch of marigolds and salvia (already plants). Unfortunately, the roofers were walking RIGHT THROUGH THE FLOWERS AND SMASHING THEM. (Can you tell I wasn't happy?) They are going to pay for new flowers. Sheesh,.

In answer to your question. . .The photo in my blog is of my house.

You can still plant some bulbs, like tulips, in the fall. It's not a good idea to plant in summer though. Bulbs do need a little bit of cold to force them into blooming. :)
