Halloween

I was in Michael's the other day, when I was bothered by all these strange sounds emanating from one of the aisles. When I went to investigate further, I saw that it was a bunch of Halloween decorations making creepy sounds and whatnot. I found it all really annoying. I'm not sure who buys those silly animated things. I much prefer the signs and cute statues and stickers.

And for the record, Halloween in July is really too early!

Yes, way too early! But Manila's just as bad—we start hearing Christmas songs in stores and the radio as early as September. And my husband and I hate any kind of decoration that make sounds! Decor should just be seen and not heard.

I am such a fan of holidays that I'll take the decorations as soon as I can get them. After July 4th, there is a depressing lull in the holidays until Halloween. But I do agree that the decorations need to keep quiet.

I suppose merchants will turn anything into anything to make a dime. And as long as we seem to buy anything, that's pretty logical.

Ohhh, I just went to Michael's and had the same experience. I hate those creepy things. Just the constant noise makes me crazy.
Cute signage!

Funny - one of the guys at my company came out of his office today and said they were playing Christmas music on the radio - and I said of course! Christmas in July! Never heard of halloween in july though =)

I have to agree with others... yes it is early... but the only thing that really shocks me is that it's not christmas decorations.
