Fire!

I was stopped at a traffic light yesterday when I noticed a large amount of smoke coming from the Kangaroo gas station across the street. Unfortunately, I couldn't get a great shot, but an old truck was on fire. My husband passed the scene later on and saw the carcass being towed away. A fire next to the gas pumps could have easily turned into a very dangerous station, but luckily no one was hurt. I guess someone will be looking for a new car though!

Look at you with your camera handy! Wow, that could have been a bad situation quickly!

You are Johnny on the Spot. Cub reporter ever ready!HA
I can't keep the arrondissements straight but I do know our hotel is 5 or so min. from Tuileries and the Louvre. Hotel Mayfair. I think we will like being able to walk to so many good places. The last time we were in Latin quarter and had to take the Metro everywhere we went.

YIKES!! What a coincidence - one of our neighbors' cars burned on Saturday night - fortunately it wasn't parked too close to the house....and it's a really good thing those gas tanks didn't catch fire too!!

I suppose a gas station should be constructed in a way to withstand this kind of an incident. Still, not a matter to be taken lightly. That's for sure.

I keep telling myself that we should get a small fire extinguisher for our car but I always forget about it when I'm at an appropriate shop. This should be a good reminder. Do you have one in your car?

By the way, the picture on the Brugg shield depicts a bridge and a tower. Since you commented on it, I thought you might like to know. Link to that post.

Those kangaroos are tricky beasts!

Thanks for visiting me at Sydney Daily Photo while I was away. I’m back from Queensland now and transmission should resume as normal.
