December Theme Day: Circles/Spheres

This is the Jin Mao Tower in Shanghai. When you go up to the observation deck, you can look down on the Shanghai Grand Hyatt. It's pretty spectacular.

Take a look at how others across the world have interpreted today's theme.

My goodness, this is amazing. I get seasick just looking down. It must have been spectacular to be there. A lovely shot and perfect for today.

Luckily it was covered by plexiglass. I don't think I'd be able to look over the sides if I was staying in the hotel. Just leaning over the plexiglass made my feet tingly.

The design is neat though.

Wow! I must say "pretty spectacular" is a rather modest assessment;)

Oh hey, I just noticed the round balconies (?) creating a spiral pattern. Cool! Do you know what they are?

Hilda: that is the Hyatt Grand Hotel of Shanghai. Floors 53 - 88 are occupied by the hotel (that's what you see here).

The lower floors are offices. There is also a food court in the basement along with a disco, I think. The whole thing has 88 floors. It's neat to visit. If I ever get back to Shanghai, I'll try that TV tower thing with the balls. :)
