Old Court Room

This is the original jury box in the old court room - it's located on the second story of the Old Courthouse in Vicksburg. I recently served on the jury for a trial in Madison County - it took a whole week. I would not have liked to spent a week sitting on one of those hardback chairs.

Beautiful chairs, but I'm like you. I would hope the trial got over quickly!

I love them! And they actually look comfortable. Reminds me of our school chairs when I was still in college. They're gone now.

What beautiful chairs and a lovely photograph. Look at the patina. Gorgeous. Unusual in that they don't have legs but a central base.

They are beautiful, but they don't look very comfy, do they?

when viewing old artifacts such as this, i'm always impressed with the quality and workmanship on things like these chairs... it's cool to me that they were able to mass produce such beautiful pieces... =)
