Flowers on the Lovely Hole

I just love irises - they remind me of my childhood. We always had tons of the purple ones growing in our yard. But the yellow ones are pretty too! Especially when they frame a small pond like this one.

I really enjoy looking at the many faces of Irises. I have some black ones that seem to be unusual. I guess I will have to post one on my side bar.

I completely agree with you. Very pretty scene.

But to be honest, I don't think I've ever seen irises for real. I have a plant whose leaves are like this, but the blooms are very different. Don't ask me the name — it's one of the 9 (out of 16) that I still I don't have names for.

Well, this could be from France and it makes me think of the great painters. Just excellent!

What a lovely peacefull picture! I have discovered that most blooming flowers in this time of year are yellow. Mabye because of Easter, or just the way round?

Being framed this way can't be half bad! Looks real inviting.

Picturesque! Reminds me that I need to photograph the few irises that are blooming in my yard.

Very beautiful. I hope your golf ball wasn't in that pond!

The ladies have a better advantage. We get to tee off on the other side of the pond!
