A Southern Affair

This is Jackson's premiere bridal dress shop. While I'm not so into the whole big, white wedding thing, they do have beautiful dresses and beautiful displays.

There seems to be fewer bridal shops here in St. Paul, and I wonder why. Weddings are still big affairs and gowns are an important part of the event. Perhaps more brides are preferring simplicity?

A window display in good taste. I'm sure Safe Leif and I could get a guided tour as well! ;)

The window is really nice and the gowns, in my humble opinion, elegant and not too much elaborate.

I don't think the "whole big, white wedding thing" will ever go away...which isn't necessarily bad, though I think that some folks to a little nuts putting together very expensive nuptial ceremonies...

My husband and I got married at city hall in New York City. I wore a red dress. I think you should wear what you want on your "happiest day". And if that's a white piece of meringue - go ahead!

Although these dresses are really quite nice. I especially like the one on the right.
