Old Capitol Building

I have shown you the new capitol building a few times. Here's a look at the old one. It now houses a museum of state history. It has also been designated as a national historic landmark. I hope to visit the inside one of these days. You can be sure I'll take lots of pictures (if that's allowed).

That's surprising — it's actually simpler than the new one. I find that it's usually the other way here.

It's still a very stately building though, and I'm glad they found a dignified new use for it.

il est beau, j'espère que tu auras le droit de prendre des photos pour nous montrer le musée

It's very impressive! We have an old and new capitol building here too.

Hilda is right, I was expecting exactly the same thing. Probably the old one is better off as a museum...

This is an old building with a whole lot of history!

Love shot with the afternoon sun (morning sun?)

I'd like to see the interior!

Quel bel immeuble classique. Moi aussi je vais attendre les photos de l'intérieur !

They used to have a mummy upstairs in the museum (the scariest item to a child!!), and old show, sized 20, I think from a slave many years ago.

Can't imagine why it wouldn't be allowed. Then again, there are all sorts of rules in this world. I once visited a major museum in Naples. Photography was strictly prohibited according to lots of signs but no one cared. Certainly not the guards.
