Ooh, I have some of these in our front yard! I don't know what they're called but yes, they smell wonderful. Unfortunately, ours rarely bloom. I have a feeling our weather is wrong for them. Which makes the few times they do bloom even more precious.
ciel: Paperwhites are a type of narcissis. They are VERY fragrant. Alot of people grow them indoors during the winter holidays. But I find the scent too overpowering for indoors.
Jacob: These were actually near the teebox of hole number six. I rounded the corner from five and caught the scent on the breeze!
great shot! i really like the depth of field on this one with the flowers in the foreground!
thanks for the comment, i'm LOVING the new camera so far. i have lots to learn, but that just means i need to get out and take lots of pics - which i enjoy!

I bet they smelled as good as they looked.

Ce sont des narcisses ? A cette époque de l'année ? Si ce sont bien des narcisses,je ne savais pas qu'elles pouvaient dégager un tel parfum !
I want to know if you really discovered them because of their aroma or because you're ball landed in the woods? ;-)
I can smell them from here!
c'est bien des narcisses, et l'odeur est très forte (il parait qu'elle peut donner des maux de têtes).

Nice to see some flowers.
A beautiful image, it always nice to discover flowers by their scent. I can imagine that 54 yards means something in golf-speech!
Soon all that we'll see here outside that's white is snow!
Those are beautiful! I wish I could smell them.
They sure are pretty - I wanna smell them, too, but there aren't any around here.
Wow, I hardly ever see them growing outside here. I don't just love the fragrance inside. Sometimes it's too sweet but they are so beautiful.
