Vulture
A wild vulture caught on the Natchez Trace. There are quite a few animal vs car collisions on the Trace, so these birds usually don't have to work too hard to find a snack.
These are really great birds! And thank goodness we have them around - they do keep things clean! We have red headed buzzards and black headed buzzards.

It looks like a turkey vulture! I had a couple of these birds in my neighborhood feasting on a dead armadillo not too long ago.
Modern birds, they know their places...
Vultures usually have a bad rep... but they keep themselves really clean (all things considered) and they keep the land clean.
Aren't they mean lookin' dudes! heheheee!
