Chipping Sparrow

These guys are frequent visitors to my "resto". They may not be much to look at, but they sing a nice song.

Happy Friday everyone! We get Monday off for M.L. King Jr. Day, so it's a long weekend for me. I'll be down in Fort Lauderdale (hopefully) enjoying some good golf weather. My blog will be on automatic pilot until Tuesday. Enjoy!

Awesome that you know all these different birds! I must pay more attention to identifying the ones in my feeder and yard. Thanks for all your comments on my photos, and have a good rest this long weekend!

I've always loved sparrows. I believe I read they are disappearing in London. Enjoy MLK day - am so glad that is a day that is celebrated and of course it would be in Mississippi. I know my friends in Ohio - the one who comes from Memphis always make is a big celebratory day.

Cute little songbird!

Ft. Lauderdale, heh? The weather looks good, I think. It's much better here.

Where are you playing golf?

Hope you have a great time! I finally got out and hit a few balls for the first time in a long time yesterday afternoon. It was a perfect day!

Rambling Round: I'm no bird expert! I just search on the internet until I find the name of a bird that looks like the one in my picture. I even got a birding book for Christmas which I hope is going to make identifying easier.

Jacob: We're flying into Palm Beach and staying in Boca. I want to play the Bonaventure course in Ft. Lauderdale, but we haven't made a tee time yet.

My husband has never been to the Everglades though so we are going to try to do a boat tour on Saturday, although not sure how much wildlife will be out right now. I used to live in Port Saint Lucie before I moved to France. I'm looking forward to some FL sun!

Mme la Vache is happy to see the images of birds again. As much as «Louis» has enjoyed this series, she is enjoying it even more.;-)
