Heron on the 12th

I saw this beautiful brother on the 12th hole at Deerfield golf course this past weekend. He was so intent on finding some food, he was not bothered by my snapping a couple of shots. They're usually quite sensitive.

I love the elusive Heron. They usually fly off when they see me but I have managed to capture a few too. MB

A golf loving heron! I am sure the outside world has much worse than a couple of shots...

Nice photo of the heron. I find the herons here are elusive and am jealous that so many others can get such good photos of them. Nice!

Je me souviens avoir vu plein de hérons près de Washington, D.C., je ne savais plus où donner de la tête. Les hérons et les cardinals (enfin... les cardinaux... je ne sais pas !!!)

Uh, Halcyon, after your response to «Louis'» comment yesterday, can we safely say that this shot is (ahem) par for the course?

The 12th hole? My, by then I'd be desperate for snacks! This fellow knows what's good for him.
