Last week I showed you the old railway bridge. And as promised here's a look at the new US Highway 90 bridge that links Ocean Springs to Biloxi. The old road was destroyed during Katrina and they built up this replacement in record time. It's bigger and better as the middle section is high enough for ships to pass through. I believe the old bridge had one of those drawbridge-like mechanisms.

a wonderful shot of a very impressive bridge!
Tout aussi impressionnant. J'aime bien la "plage" ! Bon dimanche !
Pour répondre à ta question, le pont de la rue de Crimée se situe dans le XIXè arrdt, entre le Canal de l'Ourcq et le Bassin de la Villette !
Nicely composed! Great colors. Beautiful bridge. More and more of the newly-built bridges are featuring high middle sections...thank goodness.
That's one big, longggggg bridge!
This shows how wide the Mighty Miss is! Good one, Halcyon, and «Louis» has linked it!
Louis: Thanks for linking. But this isn't the Mississippi River. I think it's the Pearl. It's a mighty river too though!! :)
A nice long bridge.
regarding your comment on my blog: there are around 13,000 residents and the majority work or go to school off island and so have to pass through Stanwood (pop. 5000) so at traffic time the road is bumper to bumper traffic. . It still will be packed I suppose but just being wider will feel better and emergency vehicles will be able to get through. MB
Was the old bridge tall enough for ships to go under? This is definitely an impressive structure!
This looks like a never ending bridge, a very nice shot with some beach as a plus.
ohmigod, this bridge is huge!
FAbulous angle in this shot!
Have a great week there

Impressive! I have yet to see a bridge this long and huge in person.
Wow that looks really long! And I don't think I've ever seen a bridge that rises like that! Wonderful photo ;D
Looks like it just goes on and on
This bridge has a very beautiful curve.
From the Far East.
Best regards.

I guess this is really more of a causeway than a bridge. But it is a neat structure and I'm glad everyone has enjoyed it!
Nice bridge and a gorgeous blue sky
There's a store in NY called Pearl River - wonder if there's any connection. Nice shot, I love bridges.
I love the beauty and charm of bridges. Thanks so much for sharing.
