Thirsty?

All kinds of birds are welcome to stop by my water bowl for a drink! And I get a lot of mourning doves.

PS: I have signed up for Facebook. Please take a look at my sidebar on the right. I hope you will "like" me or be my "friend". And if anyone knows how to make that sidebar thing look right, I'd appreciate any advice!

Fortunately, I've got a bottle of splendid tap water at hand!

Its the rum you put in with the water that attracts them.

Keep an eye out for my Hummers. They started their migration ten days ago.

Nice angle you got on that Mourning Dove shot!

You really are "for the birds"! And that's a good thing. Very nice.

Did you get out to the Viking tourney?

Doves are so smooth looking and beautiful! They are quite tasty when fried up just right, too!

were they 'afternoon doves or 'MORNing' doves, again? hahaha

I love mourning doves. Their cooing is so peaceful to me and brings back peaceful memories of being on the MA shore! And I 'like' you on FB! :)

They have the sweetest faces, and you are so nice to provide them with food and water!

Nice photo of the doves. I have doves around my place too but different ones from those.

The water dish is a good idea. I have tons of cats in my neighbourhood so I need to keep the water in high places!

Pigeons seem to be everywhere. Nice capture.

Hi Halcyon: Re your comment on the Viking tourney...I think most of the big names were either playing in the Ryder Cup or watching it on TV!

We get a lot of doves, too (which bring hawks & such, but that's the process.)
I'd "friend" you on FB, but I only have a business page, not a personal profile, so I don't have access to personal profiles. Enjoy, regarless!

I think I'll have to get a bird bath for my yard. I need to lure some of these beauties.

I love listening to them!
