"Saw the Eagle fly, through a clear, blue sky"
Clear Sky and the Golden Eagle... represents freedom. Freedom considered as a birth right, is a privilege which people who have it take for granted. When I see other people fighting for this very right, I realize how blessed some of us are.To see more skies from around the world, visit SkyWatch

Multi-Colored Blooms
These are the same kind of flower I showed you on Wednesday, just in a different mix of color.

Beads a Flying!
I amassed plenty of beads during the parade. We were right on the front row and I was hoping to get a shot of some in mid-air headed towards me. I didn't get that shot, but here's this one.
Potato Truck
As seen at the Saint Patrick's Day parade. This was one of the funnier floats.
I had to include both shots!
More Garden Flowers
More beautiful flowers from my garden back in Jackson. I'm not sure what these are called but they come in a variety of colors.
Azaleas
My azaleas were out in full force just before I left Jackson. Looking at my last photos of them is cheering somehow.
Flag Man
After Hoopla Girl, you now see Flag Man. He didn't generate the same response from the crowd (open-mouthed gazers), but he was still an interesting figure.
Hoopla Girl
Blues Man
The theme of this year's St Patrick's Day Parade was the blues. The Mississippi Blues Commission had this artist out there walking. I don't know his name, but he looks the part of a blues man and I'm sure he plays it well too!
Po in a Row
The Saint Patrick's Day parade is probably the only time you're happy to see a state trooper. I must admit, they looked good on their bikes and did some impressive moves!
Snoop on the Cell
Last night a group of friends (including Halcyon and Dreamer's Click) went to see Snoop Dogg in downtown Jackson. The show didn't disappoint! Here's a look at the artist as captured from Dreamer's Click's cell phone. Good times, good times!
Pied Piper of Jackson
Leftovers
Some broken beads left on the pavement after Saturday's Saint Patrick's Day parade downtown. It was a lot of fun. But I don't envy those who had to clean up after the shindig!
Flowering Trees
Mississippi Veterans Monument

An interesting monument in the heart of downtown Jackson. The inscriptions at the monument to read and reflect is the oath of office which is:
"I do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; that I take this obligation freely, without any mental reservation or purpose of evasion; and that I will well and faithfully discharge the duties of the office on which I am about to enter: So help me God."
A mile a day, keeps a smile-on all day :)

Tree and Sky
Sunny skies in Jackson! This photo was taken just a few weeks ago, today this tree is almost fully leafed out!

Pink Fluffy Thing
I do not recall the name of this shrub, but it's very popular in Jackson - almost everyone has one. They're sort of boring when they're not in bloom, but they look really nice when they get the pink, fluffy blooms!
